ABOUT
My name is Ridhima and I, along with my friend- Aastha, have been running a non profit- "Adopt A Dog" for stray/street and abandoned dogs in India for the last 9 years. We run a network of foster care homes for about 72 homeless dogs and our activities include feeding, walking, training and loving the homeless pups and eventually finding a pawfect family for them.

We started "Adopt A Dog" while me and Aastha were still in college. Both of us have full fledged careers in the corporate world, but continued working on "Adopt A Dog". I joined Google and started my career in the tech space, completed my MBA and eventually became a product manager, but never stopped dedicating time, money and energy to the homeless pets who needed me most.

I recently got married and moved to Mountain View. I was amazed to see the sheer number of pet friendly resources available here. Walking services, daycare, spas, swimming lessons, playgroups, endless pet stores and most importantly, a lot of people who absolutely love dogs. Immediately, I decided to turn my passion into a full time job, and hence came "Happy Wags"- named after my dear darling pet "Happy" " :)
As an experienced dog owner and lover, I promise to treat your pet just like my own, and guarantee consistent and personal care that is equal to your love and attention.

Your dog may be a social butterfly waiting to get to the park and play with other dogs, or timid who wants to stay to itself. Whatever it is, I will ensure the walks are customized to suit your dog.

I understand how some dogs are just more comfortable at their own home and nowhere else. If you need to head out somewhere or have long working hours, I'll be happy to come over to your house and take care of your dog.
DOG BOARDING
Need a little escape, a weekend getaway, or need to travel for work? You can leave your pet with me and forget all your worry. I ensure utmost care and pampering for your dog while you are away, and daily pics and video calls if you are up for it :)
Treat your pooch to a wash, hand scissor and hand brush experience for a luxury experience. I end the grooming session with a 5-7 minute massage, nail clipping and ear cleaning so your pet comes out refreshed and experiences pampering like no where else

Dog Walking
Q1. Where are the dogs walked?
I can take dogs to the Eagle park for a long walk, or through the Mountain View/Palo Alto neighborhood. It depends on your preferences. The group walks in Mountain View are in Eagle park, and in Palo Alto are in Mitchell Park

Q2. Are dogs walked on leash or off leash?
The dogs are walked on leash at all times. The dog could be allowed to run and play off leash on solo walks only but that depends on the temperament, training of the dog and your preference. Please let me know if you want your dog to be off leash during the walk.

Q3.What is the cancelation policy of a scheduled dog walk?
You can cancel the dog walk free of charge till 24 hours before the scheduled walk. There is a full charge if you cancel within 24 hours of the scheduled walk.

Q4. What are the payment methods?
You must pay in advance to confirm your dog walk. You can either pay via paypal, venmo or NEFT

Dog Sitting
Q1. What are the timings of dog sitting?
We can work around the timings based on your preference and my availability. The timings depend on how often you want me to drop in and between what hours

Q2. Can you feed, take the dog out to relieve itself, etc during the visit?
Absolutely. My entire purpose of the visit is to ensure that your dog is comfortable. If that means that the dog needs to go out, take a medicine, get some food, etc., I will be happy to do so. I will be happy to send pictures to you as well :)

Q3. Does the charge change if I need only 2 visits a day?
Unfortunately not. There is a flat rate for dog sitting, and I can visit the dog a maximum of 4 times a day.

Dog Boarding
Q1. Where will the dogs be boarded?
The dog will be boarded in our beautiful apartment in Mountain View. Our apartment does not have a garden, but Eagle park is right across the street.
Q2. Will there be more dogs while you board our dog?
No, I will board only one dog at a time to ensure my full attention & care to your dog. If you have more than 1 dog, I will be happy to board them together.

Q3. Are you comfortable administering medication (if any) to the dog?
Yes, I have vast experience administering first id and oral medication to dogs, and if your dog needs to be given any supplements, antibiotics, injections- I will be happy to administer those.
​
Q4. What are the logistics details?
You will have to drop & pick the dog from my apartment.
